Seattle Towers
June 2016

The

Challenge

In my childhood I spent countless hours playing tower management simulator games such as Yoot Tower and Sim Tower. Each of these games had their high and low points that could be improved upon in a modern version.

Seattle Towers is a collaboration of my ideas and aspirations for a better tower management and simulation game. Some of these aspirations include a richer economic simulation, more intuitive gameplay, and smarter artificial intelligence.

The Pre-Alpha version of Seattle Towers was my first attempt at a tower management simulator. It was produced with two other students over six weeks in our Introduction to Game Development course at University of Washington: Bothell.

None of the team members have worked with the Unity engine previously. This was our first project using the engine while being reviewed weekly by our classmates in 1-week development sprints.

Project Shelved for Revision Overhaul

Producing a game in 6 weeks is a difficult task, but it gave us a significant amount of experience in game development, C#, and Unity. With a rough version of the game completed, I plan on producing a more polished version in the future.
